Ailish and Joe’s wedding at the Brig o’ Doon was a standout day for me — not only because it was my first time filming at this iconic Ayrshire venue, but because it perfectly showcased why the Brig o’ Doon is such a favourite for Scottish weddings. With its historic stone bridge, beautiful gardens, and character-filled interiors, it offers an incredible backdrop for storytelling on film.

A Full-Circle Moment

One of the highlights was seeing Maya, the maid of honour. I filmed her wedding previously, and now she’s expecting — a lovely reminder of how special it is to reconnect with past couples and capture new milestones in their lives. These moments add a personal layer to the day and make the work feel even more meaningful.
