RACHAel & ANDREW // Broxmouth courtyard
Rachel and Andrew were married at Broxmouth Courtyard, a venue I always enjoy working at. The day was relaxed and well organised, with Broxmouth taking care of the planning and catering, which kept everything running smoothly without any fuss.
The ceremony itself had a memorable moment when the minister made a point of highlighting Andrew’s failure to remember the Sunderland FC motto, very publicly putting him on the spot and getting a good laugh from everyone else. It set an easy, informal tone for the rest of the day.
The celebrations that followed were simple and fun, with A Brightside Photography capturing the day and The Rox keeping the evening lively. It was a straightforward, personal wedding that suited both the couple and the venue perfectly.
Lisa & Jeremias // Achnagairn Castle
Here’s the highlights film from Lisa and Jeremias’ summer wedding — a day that now feels like a distant but unforgettable memory! From the moment I arrived, Lisa and Jeremias couldn’t have been friendlier or more relaxed. They spent the whole day smiling, laughing, and making my job incredibly easy. It was my first time filming at Achnagairn Castle, just outside Inverness, and I absolutely loved it. The castle and grounds are stunning, surrounded by classic Highland scenery, and the team there were an absolute pleasure to work with. It was also great to be reunited with Karo from @regenweibchen after her move to Lochinver — always a joy to collaborate with people who love what they do. And what a scorcher of a day, in every sense — blue skies, great people, and an atmosphere that never dipped once.
SIMRIN & GLENN // Broxmouth Courtyard
Here is the highlights wedding film of Simrin and Glenn’s beautiful celebration at Broxmouth Courtyard in East Lothian, near Edinburgh. Their wedding took place on a rainy June day, but the showers didn’t dampen the joy, love, or laughter. In fact, the rain only added to the romantic Scottish atmosphere, and it certainly didn’t stop the party! From the emotional ceremony led by Gina the Celebrant, to the unforgettable evening entertainment with live music from The Nicholas McDonald Band, energetic beats by Soniquesounds DJ, and traditional performances by the incredible Royal Dhol Force, this was a wedding filled with energy, culture, and fun. As a wedding videographer in Edinburgh, I love capturing these kinds of days—where every detail tells a story. From the stunning floral arrangements by Wilder Flower Shop, to Simrin’s gorgeous dress from Arya Birmingham and Glenn’s sharp tuxedo from Slaters, everything came together perfectly. The makeup by Kirsty E. Martin MUA and hair styling by Essential Hair Sam Davie completed Simrin’s look beautifully. Guests enjoyed plenty of laughs with the Clip Clop Click photobooth, while the elegant sounds of the Edinburgh String Ensemble set the perfect tone earlier in the day. I’ve uploaded this wedding highlights film vertically, so you can enjoy it full screen on your phone—let me know if you prefer watching it this way! If you’re looking for a wedding videographer in Edinburgh or East Lothian who can capture not just the big moments but also the laughter, energy, and unique story of your day, I’d love to hear from you
RACHAEL & CALLUM // The Signet Library
Weddings at Signet Library offer a setting that’s hard to match in the heart of Edinburgh. With its grand Georgian architecture, sweeping columns and dramatic natural light, it’s one of the most iconic wedding venues in the city. For couples planning a Signet Library wedding, the combination of historic character and central location makes it ideal for a refined but relaxed celebration.
As an Edinburgh wedding videographer, I approach filming at the Signet Library in a discreet, documentary style. The scale of the Upper Library and the clean symmetry of the space lend themselves perfectly to cinematic wedding films, while still allowing the focus to remain on the couple and their guests. The light that fills the room throughout the day creates depth and warmth on camera, meaning your wedding film feels natural, elegant and timeless.
If you’re getting married at the Signet Library and looking for a wedding videographer who understands how to work confidently within historic venues, I’d love to hear more about your plans. It’s a venue that rewards careful storytelling — and when filmed well, a Signet Library wedding truly speaks for itself.

Emma & Eoin // Carlowrie Castle
Here is the highlights film from the wedding of Emma & Eoin who were married at Carlowrie Castle back in July.
Is there a more Disney-esque Castle in Scotland than Carlowrie? Not in my opinion!
Emma and Eoin are such a lovely, smiley couple who are clealry very much in love and they made me feel very welcome on the day.
It was also really lovely to work besides Derek Christie again for the first time in years - what a guy!
Lorna & Ray // The Byre in Inchyra
Filming Lorna and Ray's wedding at the Byre in Inchyra, Perthshire, was an absolute blast! Lorna's vivacious spirit and Ray looking dashing in his uniform made the day even more enjoyable.
Who doesn't love a man in uniform? The Byre is one of my favourite venues for shooting a wedding video. Its rustic charm and picturesque beauty provided the perfect backdrop for the celebration. Capturing the magic of their special day was a true honour, and their love story added a unique and heartwarming touch to the event. As a videographer, I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable and visually stunning wedding to film. It was a day filled with laughter, beautiful moments, and memories that will be cherished forever.
Hannah & Kevin // The Cowshed, Crail
Filming the wedding video of Hannah and Kevin at 'The Cow Shed' in Crail was an absolute delight. The enchanting beauty of East Neuk served as the perfect backdrop for their special day. As I captured each moment, from their light-hearted skip through the wheat fields to the genuine warmth shared among family and friends, I couldn't help but appreciate the natural, rugged charm of this coastal haven. The stunning landscapes and the rustic coolness of The Cow Shed added a timeless elegance to their wedding video. It was an honour to be part of their love story and create a wedding video that perfectly encapsulated their adventurous spirit and the cool, carefree vibes of their celebration in this lovely corner of Scotland. But will Kevin ever get a dog?
Jen & Michael // SummerhalL
I had the pleasure of filming Jen and Michael’s wedding at the beautiful Summerhall in the heart of Edinburgh. Their day was full of warmth, laughter, and genuine moments that made it a joy to capture. From heartfelt vows to a packed dance floor, their wedding was a perfect mix of emotion and celebration. I wanted this film to feel like them—full of energy, love, and personality. Every frame reflects the fun, connection, and spirit they brought to the day, and I’m proud to have created something that preserves those memories for years to come.
JESS & FAB // The DELL at Abernethy
This one was LOTS OF FUN as I've known these guys for a while now as I work with Jess who runs @pivotpolestudio when they do their showcases, so it was extra special. My first time at @dellofabernethy and it was AMAZING. what a stunning place and what lovely staff (who leant me a coat as I left mine at home!) I don't usually get too emotional during the ceremony but these guys vows were beautiful! Big shout out to Helen at @black_squid_photography.... An angel and a real pleasure to spend time with. THIS DID NOT FEEL LIKE WORK!
CEline & Daniel // THe Royal College of Physicians
Celine and Daniel’s wedding at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh was a real privilege to film. As an Edinburgh wedding videographer, getting to work at one of the city’s most iconic wedding venues is always a highlight. The Royal College of Physicians offers a mix of historic architecture, grand rooms and a central location, which makes it ideal for couples planning a stylish Edinburgh city wedding.
From the ceremony through to the evening celebrations, the whole day had a great energy. Celine and Daniel are such a young, fun couple — they honestly made me feel old — and that energy carried right through the wedding. Nothing felt forced or overly staged. It was just a genuinely good atmosphere, full of laughter and real moments with their family and friends.
RACHael & STEVEN // THE Signet library
Rachael and Steven’s wedding at Signet Library in May was one of those days that makes filming in Edinburgh a no-brainer. The Signet Library is right off the Royal Mile and easily one of the most distinctive wedding venues in the city — big Georgian rooms, clean lines, loads of natural light. For wedding videography, it’s a gift.
They’re a young, sharp couple and were completely up for making the most of the video side of things. From the start, they were relaxed, open to ideas, and trusted me to get on with it — which always leads to a stronger, more personal wedding film. When couples lean into the process a bit, you can create something that feels dynamic rather than staged.
The two levels inside the Signet Library give you loads to work with without ever leaving the building — ideal for a ceremony and reception all in one place. We captured everything from a quiet moment before the ceremony in the Upper Library to a packed dance floor later on. If you’re planning a Signet Library wedding and want an Edinburgh wedding videographer who’ll keep things natural, capture the energy properly, and not just film the pretty setups, get in touch. It’s a brilliant venue for a wedding film that feels both classic and full of life.
BECCA & LUKE // Winton Castle
I’ve recently finished editing Luke and Becca’s wedding film at Winton Castle, and it was a pleasure to revisit such a well-put-together day. Travelling from New York to get married in East Lothian, they chose a venue that combines historic character with a calm, private atmosphere — something that translates beautifully on film. Winton Castle is quickly becoming one of my favourite wedding venues to work at in Scotland.
As a wedding videographer filming solo, I focus on capturing natural moments as they unfold rather than staging anything. The layout of Winton Castle, from its grand interior rooms to the surrounding grounds, creates a variety of backdrops without ever feeling rushed or crowded. The light inside the castle, in particular, lends itself to cinematic, natural wedding films that feel timeless rather than trend-driven.
If you’re planning a wedding at Winton Castle and looking for a videographer who works discreetly and documents the day as it really happens, it’s a venue that genuinely rewards that approach. Luke and Becca’s finished film reflects not just the atmosphere of their day, but also the unique character that makes Winton Castle such a sought-after East Lothian wedding venue.
Clem & Jack // Kingshouse, Glencoe
Here is the highlights wedding video from the wedding of Clem and Jack who were married at one of the most stunning locations I have ever shot at.
The couple got married on a suitably moody and atmospheric day back in May at the Kingshouse Hotel, Glencoe: An amazing venue with surrounding views that takes your breath away.
The day was a bit wet but this didn't dampen the spirits! Despite only being there for 4 hours I loved the shots I got - places like Glencoe are a great place to shoot!
Also great working besides Brian and Paula Crieff Photography again.
