BROxmouth courTyard - An East lothian gem
Ahh perfect — let me tweak that so it sounds fully you 🤍
If I think about some of the most special days I’ve had the honour of capturing — from Sim and Glenn’s beautiful celebration, to Emma and Alex’s laughter-filled day, and Rachel and Andrew’s emotional, joy-soaked moments — they all share one thing in common: Broxmouth Courtyard.
And honestly? That’s not a coincidence.
There’s just something about Broxmouth that feels different the second you arrive. It’s calm. It’s private. It feels tucked away in the best possible way — like you’ve found your own little corner of the world for the day. Couples always tell me they want their wedding to feel relaxed but still special, elegant but not stiff… and this venue does that effortlessly.
The courtyard is such a gorgeous space for drinks receptions. Guests naturally gather, hug, laugh, and settle into the day — and from a storytelling point of view, that’s magic. Nothing feels forced. The moments just happen. And inside, the space is beautifully understated, which means it holds whatever atmosphere you create. Romantic and timeless, modern and stylish, emotional and intimate — it adapts so naturally to each couple.
From a videography perspective, it’s a dream. The flow of the spaces means I can move quietly and capture moments as they unfold without disrupting anything. The light is soft and flattering throughout the day, and the grounds give us the most beautiful backdrops for those just-married, “we can finally breathe” moments — without ever taking you away from your guests for too long.
But more than anything, it’s the feeling. It never feels like you’re just another wedding in a busy season. It feels personal. Warm. Intentional. Like the whole place exists just for you and the people you love most.
If you’re looking for a venue with countryside charm, natural elegance and a genuinely relaxed atmosphere where your story can unfold organically, Broxmouth Courtyard is something really special. It’s a place I absolutely love returning to — because every single time, it’s filled with so much love. 🤍
