A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Barony Castle
Here’s the highlights film from Noor & Alex’s unforgettable wedding at Barony Castle in the Scottish Borders — a beautiful day that brought together two families, two cultures and friends who had travelled from around the world to celebrate with them.
Barony Castle is a fantastic wedding venue, surrounded by countryside and woodland, and this was my first time filming an outdoor wedding ceremony at Barony Castle. The tree-lined ceremony setting is particularly spectacular and provided an incredible backdrop for Noor and Alex as they said their vows.
With the sun shining and the grounds looking their best, it was one of those Scottish summer days that makes filming weddings such a pleasure.
A Scottish Borders Wedding with an International Celebration
Noor and her family travelled from the UAE, while Alex is based in Elgin with the Royal Air Force. Their wedding was a wonderful coming together of different backgrounds and traditions, with friends and family travelling from far and wide to be there.
And despite the international guest list, there was definitely one thing everyone had in common — a love of the bagpipes!
It was brilliant to see Scottish traditions being enjoyed by guests from both sides of the family, and the bagpipes provided one of many memorable moments throughout the day.
Filming Noor & Alex’s Wedding
My approach to wedding videography is documentary-led and relaxed. Rather than constantly directing couples or asking them to pose for the camera, I prefer to let the day unfold naturally and capture the moments as they happen.
For a wedding like Noor and Alex’s, with so many friends and family coming together, that meant capturing the atmosphere, the laughter, the emotions and all the little moments that make the day uniquely theirs.
The result is a cinematic wedding highlights film that hopefully brings back some of the sights, sounds and emotions of their incredible day.
Noor & Alex, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding. It was an absolute privilege to be there, and I hope this film brings back some amazing memories for many years to come.
